A short, plain-language summary of what we collect on this website, why, and how long we hold on to it. Last updated 2026.

What we collect

We only collect information you give us through the forms on this site:

  • Contact form · name, email, optional phone number, the reason you’re reaching out, and your message.
  • Prayer request form · the prayer request itself, plus name and email if you choose to share them.
  • Connection card · first name, last name, email, when you plan to visit, and an optional note.
  • Connection List signup · just your email address.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics collects a small amount of technical information (anonymized IP, browser, device type, referring page, pages visited). It does not see anything you type into a form.

Why we collect it

So we can respond to you, pray with you, plan for your visit, send you church updates, and improve the website. That’s it. We don’t sell your information, ever, and we don’t share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Typical retention windows for a local church like ours:

  • Prayer requests · usually destroyed within 30 to 60 days after our intercession team has prayed over them, unless you ask us to keep walking with you.
  • Contact form messages · up to 1 year, then deleted from the inbox archive.
  • Connection card information · kept on file as part of our church directory until you ask us to remove it.
  • Connection List email · kept until you unsubscribe (every email includes an unsubscribe link).
  • Giving records · kept for at least 7 years to support tax-deduction reporting and IRS recordkeeping requirements.
  • Google Analytics data · retained 14 months at Google’s default setting, then automatically deleted.

Who we share it with

Only the trusted services we use to run the church and this website:

  • Planning Center · for online giving and giving-statement records.
  • Google · for analytics (anonymized) and the embedded map.
  • Email service provider · for the Connection List newsletter.

Each of these has its own privacy practices. We do not pass your information to anyone else.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization turned on. That means a small cookie may be placed on your device to recognize you across pages within a single visit. You can block analytics by using your browser’s built-in tracking protection, a content-blocker extension, or a tool like the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

This site is also protected by reCAPTCHA, which helps us keep our forms free of automated abuse. The Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that protection.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Tell you what information we have about you.
  • Correct anything that’s wrong.
  • Delete your information from our records (subject to recordkeeping laws like 7-year giving statements).
  • Stop sending you Connection List emails.

Children’s information

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children online. Photos of minors taken at church gatherings appear on this site only with consent from a parent or guardian. To request that a photo be removed, please use the contact page.

Updates to this policy

If we change anything here, we’ll update the date at the top of the page. For substantial changes, we’ll let our Connection List know.
